Fund Business is an Australian information and events company providing executive-level insights for investment managers. Our audience includes asset managers, insurance companies, superannuation funds and other asset-owner organisations.
We provide independent editorial and host senior-level forums that facilitate discussion on current and forward-looking topics. We provide insights for executives to assist with strategic decision-making across the business; including front, middle and back office functions. Our events are unique, well-regarded and engender a strong level of engagement and interaction among senior executive delegates. Key Personnel
Wietske is an analyst, researcher and journalist with over 17 year’s of experience in financial regulation, risk management, derivatives and technology.
Most recently a regulatory analyst with Thomson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence, Wietske spent six years analysing the impact of financial regulation on market participants across the globe. Prior to this, she was a staff writer at Risk Magazine covering derivatives, risk management and technology across Europe and Asia-Pacific. She started her career as editor of Unquote”, a European private equity publication.
Wietske holds a master’s degree with distinction in global political economy (specialising in global finance) from the University of Sussex, and obtained a first-class bachelor of arts in international relations with French from Université Grenoble Alpes (formerly Université Pierre Mendès France) and the University of Sussex. She is multi-lingual and fluent in Dutch (native), English, German and French.
Laurence is an investment publishing and events professional of 21 years’ experience. He has published magazines and produced successful investment forums in Australia and throughout Europe, the Middle East and South Africa. This includes having worked closely on and produced the annual Australian Custodial Services Association (ACSA) conference for four years from 2009 to 2012.
Previous roles include head of marketing for BNP Paribas Securities Services Australia and New Zealand, associate publisher of Investment Magazine (formerly Investment & Technology / I&T), senior roles with the Financial Times and other large business-to-business publishers such as Incisive Media and Financial News.
Laurence holds a higher national diploma in business and finance from Southampton Solent University, and prior to studying business qualified in engineering.
